Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go to Heaven and live with Jesus forever? Guess what! You can!

In the Bible, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)." With Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, we are promised a home in heaven that we'll live in after we die.

So, do you want to know how Jesus can be your personal Lord and Savior? Well, keep reading...

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

That word "all" means everybody...anyone who have ever lived...anyone who is living now...and, anyone who will eve live...that qualifies as "all."

"...all have sinned..." - what is sin? Well, sin is anything that we think, say, or do that make God unhappy...that is sin. The more common sins taht we think of quickly would telling a lie, cheating, stealing, or being mean or unkind. However, that's just a few. Keep in mind, ANYTHING we think, do, or say that makes God unhappy is sin. This verse tells us that everybody is a sinner...we've all messed up...we all have done, said, and thought things that has made God unhappy. We are ALL sinners.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Okay, so what is a "wage"? A "wage" is payment for something. If you get a job delivering newspapers, the pay check you get for delivering those newspapers s your payment...your "wage."

So, "...the wages of sin is death..." In this verse, the word "death" means "eternal death." Very simply put, dying and going to the old bad place called Hell.

That's pretty bad news. However, there is another side of the story. The rest of that verse says, "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

When does a gift become yours? Why, when you take it, of course. It's the same way with the gift of salvation that Jesus has for each one of us. All we have to do is except it, and trust Jesus to keep His promise.

Jesus' Promise to Us

Because Jesus loves us so much, He chose to pay the price for our sin. Jesus paid for all of our sins by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the grave.

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God..." 1 Peter 3:18.

"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8.

There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn salvation...it's a gift from Jesus to us. All we have to do is accept it.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing or regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5.

Jesus' promise to us is if we simply accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior, He will become our best friend and will make us a member of His family. That way, when we die, we can go to Heaen and live with Him forever and ever.

Dear Jesus,
I am a sinner. I know I have made You unhappy with my actions, and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I believe that You died on the cross for me, and I believe that because of Your death I can now have eternal life in Heaven with You as part of Your forever family. Please forgive me for my sins. Please save me. I accept You as my personal Lord and Savior, and now I know that I am a part of Your forever family. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for forgiving me.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
